- **Every URL in this file is real and was verified to load.**
- **Every like and comment count was pulled from Instagram's own embed.** Where the embed didn't surface a number, the field is marked `Unknown` — never invented.
- **Dates** come from the embed when present; otherwise `Unknown`.
- **Follower counts** come from each creator's profile page at time of original capture (these drift — treat as approximate).
- **One known deletion:** shortcode `ChteqWVoYUX` (previously seen in scrapes) now returns "post may have been removed" — excluded from this file.

## What I checked that didn't pan out

- **Deleted/private:** `ChteqWVoYUX` previously appeared in search results but the embed now returns "post may have been removed." Excluded.
- **False positives discarded during verification** (caption confirmed unrelated):
  - `CPGWXObLarf` → @ur_drumclub (drum video, not the board game)
  - `Cvu3DNGOdaQ` → @babang_des (Lofoten ship photo)
  - `Cw0mlY8M-7b` → @gamingbible (Assassin's Creed)

## Methodology

**Search engines used (this session + prior):** Yahoo (`yahoo.com/search?p=`), AOL (`aol.com/search?q=`), Brave (`search.brave.com`). DuckDuckGo, Bing, and Google were unusable due to CAPTCHAs / consent walls. Mojeek, Ecosia, Yandex, Startpage, Web Archive, Kagi all returned 403 / sign-in walls / CAPTCHAs.

**Verification path (every post):**

**Hard limits of this approach:**
1. Instagram blocks search-engine crawling of individual posts. Most UGC will never appear in Yahoo/Brave/etc — only what creators or BGG/Reddit/blog cross-links surface.
2. Stories, archived posts, and posts behind private accounts are invisible.
3. The embed endpoint sometimes returns an outdated like count cached at fetch time.

**To get to 100% coverage** of every #lyingpirates UGC post, you need one of:
- Instagram Graph API + Hashtag Search permission (Meta business app, requires app review).
- A logged-in Instagram session scrolling `instagram.com/explore/tags/lyingpirates/` end-to-end. The `gate-bot-browser` skill can do this if you authorize a Lying Pirates IG login.
- A third-party social listening tool (Sprout, Brandwatch, Crowdtangle replacement) with active IG integration.
